Meet Alana McIntyre

Mother of four children and one golden retriever

Blog: Overwhelmed Mom
Overwhelmed with the privilege and the pressures, the magic and the messes,
the wonder and the worries of being a mom.

Motherhood is the toughest job you’ll ever love!

Becoming a mom has truly been such a gift! It allows me to appreciate the simple beauty of life through the wonder in their eyes. As I try and teach them, I learn (and re-learn) life lessons on a daily basis. Being a mom makes me want to be the best I can be, especially because I know they are watching … and I want to make them proud!

Through my blog and social media, I want to offer encouragement! Being a mom is an all-day, everyday job that can be exhausting – there is no guidebook and no such thing as perfect! In a society that seeks first to judge, I want to be a positive voice that tries to lift up the weary mom and to cultivate a community that looks to inspire and cheer each other on.

Meet Jenna Dail

Mother of two children here on earth and two waiting for her in heaven

Founder of The Color of Blue and Hope
A wife, mother and business owner on a mission to inspire hope in mothers on bed rest and those grieving the loss of an infant, to extend grace to other working moms trying to find the balance in it all.

In a time where women strive to find their purpose, I find mine in being a mom.

In fact, I consider it my calling and attempt to live it out with purpose, on purpose. It became most evident two years ago when our twins, Grady and Ryder, were born pre-term and we had to say goodbye. Through my grief, I’ve learned motherhood is a privilege because tomorrow is never promised.

The Color Blue and Hope is a place where hearts are shared and comfort is extended. We aim to share God’s hope in a season that can feel hopeless; whether it be a journey of bed rest during a high risk pregnancy or the journey of life after infant or pregnancy loss, it’s our mission to spread God’s Hope, Love & Joy, through sentimental gift boxes that nourish a mama’s heart.

Meet Lisa Boettcher

Mother of two children

Blog: In Wild Hearts

Do more of what makes you happy.

The privilege of being a mother is in the details of the every day, the joyful times and the sad times…and the pull-out-your-hair-times.  It is so wonderful and powerful and extraordinary and exhausting, all at the same time. I wouldn’t trade motherhood for anything. Becoming a mother heightened my sense of love to a level I didn’t know existed. It’s as if I received a gift so great that my world before my beautiful babies just isn’t as vivid.

In Wild Hearts was first my creative outlet to share ideas on how to live happy, healthy lives. It has since evolved because I couldn’t suppress my belief that life is richer and deeper when you share real stories + seek joy in all circumstances. I want to be my best self, to be present over perfect, embrace imperfection, show deep compassion, empower others and extend grace at all times + I believe in the power of words. In summary: It’s a lovely little place of mine in the corner of this big web world.

Enjoyed each story! Being a Mom ,Mama, Mother, Madre, and Mums has been one of life’s greatest joys for me. Knowing I gave life and tried my best to nurture and live by example is so very rewarding. So neat to have each child raised in the same environment, have totally different personalities, with unique desires, is like seeing many of my own dreams lived out through their lives. Keep up the great work!
