Musings from D: Peace filled moments

labradoodle artwork

As much as I consider myself an outgoing person, I honestly treasure my quiet time at home, surrounded by things that are important to me—no doubt my amazing husband and Sofia-dog are at the top of my list! But then there are the ‘sentimental objects’ that have great meaning to me. I love being surrounded by my floor to ceiling bookshelves, art and collections that give me joy. I also love seeing all the important people in my life in photo’d frames throughout the house. As I view each, my heart is full.

I recently added a new piece of art to our living room space (photo above)—this gorgeous piece is by the talented artist, Kim Bullen. Our paths crossed (on Instagram) and we connected. I was not only drawn to this art by its beauty, but also its title, ‘Peace filled moments’ and the touching story behind it.

When I received the art it came with a beautiful letter from the artist that couldn’t have touched my heart more. Her words spoke to me and they were just what I needed to hear in that moment.

I sit back and think, Isn’t it incredible how someone’s gift and talent can touch another’s life?”

Do you know that we all have something unique to share with others? You have a gift to give and you have a special message to share. Your message may come from a specific talent or passion. It might be shown through your kindness to someone who needs it, a listening ear or words of wisdom.

Everyday we have opportunities to give and receive.

It’s truly a beautiful thing.

How are you using yours?

Perhaps someone is waiting for you to share them…

Big love,

xo~D
