Episode 21: Adjusting your reaction

The Practice of ‘Living as we Intend’

A BY&T lifestyle podcast for women.

Each time-efficient episode offers empowering practices to intentionally incorporate into your everyday life.

Episode 21: Adjusting your reaction

In the last episode of the podcast, I shared about my father who went through a battle with cancer in 2009. After years of surgeries, he had to make a decision and had his shoulder and arm amputated.

I spoke of how he endured through this difficulty, and also through it, found strength, new perspective and a more loving and giving life.

Over the last several months he has been going through some health issues and yesterday, I received a phone call that his cancer has returned.

Today I talk (raw and real) about how we can adjust our reaction in difficult times.

I hope this podcast helps you through your challenging experiences in life. And I am here for you, so please reach out in any way.

You are important to me!

(3:00) I need to share with you today that this podcast and the practice of living as we intend isn’t just to allot us direction in life or necessarily to get us through the easy stuff…

(4:46) I want you to know today that my heart is absolutely breaking. But I also want you to know that I have experienced peace of mind in the midst of this storm.

(6:35) There is hope to be found in our darkest hour.

(8:11) And so begin giving yourself time to digest, before you react to the circumstance you are given. Of course, if it’s an emotional and raw situation, by all means allow yourself to be emotional and authentic and raw and real with it.

(10:09) And so call upon your tribe. Don’t hide from them. And as you practice taking these actions, and begin releasing your “why” as Jenna did in her story, she released her “why me”, you will begin to find your peace of mind.

(12:00) And I am here, present, through The Practice of Living as we Intend podcast, to share it with you!
