Contentment in your life—just as it is right now

Have you ever struggled with feeling content—just as your life is, right now?

Are you focused on something you miss from your past, or anticipating something specific to take place in your future?

Perhaps one, the other, or both, are keeping you from feeling content?

I have indeed struggled in this area.

contentment in life

This week on The Practice of Living as we Intend podcast, we’re discussing how to redefine what we consider contentment to look like in our lives and why it’s an important practice.

‘Being content’ does not have to suggest that you are necessarily happy with wherever you are in your life in this very moment. In actuality, you may not even want to stay in whatever circumstance that you are currently in.

However, there is value within the transitional space that fits between our past and our future. And value in being content within it.

Today, let’s dive into why and how we should honor this significant time within our lives.

Join me on the podcast as we gain new insight and freedom from our no longer and our not yet. Perhaps we will even begin to welcome the space between.

I’m truly honored to share my voice with you today. There is such great reward to be found in diving deeper into our lives, together!

Thank you for listening in.

Big love,

xo~D

I thinking being content with your life is also about being in the moment and appreciating the things/people in your life.

I have a wanderlust – had it all my life – so I sometimes struggle with being content in my circumstances, even if they are actually really great. It helps when I remember that I have been put in this place by God to do something and/or learn something. When I focus on my mission for this time and place, I am no longer discontent. Thanks for your post!

I think the key to being content is accepting yourself for who you are. Don’t waste your time wishing for things you don’t have and comparing yourself to others. We think that other people’s lives are better or perfect, but that isn’t always true. Live your life and be happy with who you are and who God created you to be.

I am content. Now, but not always. Five years ago, there was no content whatsoever. It is such a wonderful feeling to know I am where I am supposed to be at this very moment. Content definitely brings peace. I enjoyed this one, as always, D!
