Providing women educational & insightful resources to live an intentional lifestyle.
Do you have specific hopes and desires that you wish to fulfill? (I do!) Do you crave happiness, peace and seek connection with others? (I think we have a lot in common!). How about this: Have you also experienced seasons of uncertainty when you haven’t felt fulfilled, lost some of your hope or didn’t have the peace that you fully needed?
Okay, now I’m raising both of my hands over here! I have experienced countless seasons of uncertainty in my lifetime. Uncertainty causes confusion and also clouds our vision—which makes it very difficult to feel happiness and peace. There is an uneasiness when we are not assured of our next steps in life. It causes us to have to lean forward in faith and believe that ‘what is on the other side’ of our doubt, is what we hope for.
When we allow feelings of confusion and unsettlement to direct our next steps, more than likely we will choose to take the path of least resistance. And within that choice, we forgo the opportunity for growth and new found freedom that walking through the uncomfortable places within our life offers.

Rid the notion that assurance in having an exact plan equals your safety, success or even peace.
Today, be open to new ways of thinking. Instead, become intentionally present within the uncomfortable place that you are in. This moment that you are feeling serves a particular purpose. Change ‘your plan’ and let this time of uneasiness run through its course—as if the joyful life that you are seeking depends on it.
Today, be reminded that every obstacle creates opportunity. And every opportunity creates growth. And growth will lead you to your specific hopes, desires, happiness, peace and connection.
Practice standing firm—even when you are uncertain.
When you choose the path that feels uncomfortable, you choose to discover the strength and new perspective that’s needed for the next season of your life.

Yes! I’m at a point of life where I have no plans, which is both terrifying and exciting. Thanks for your words ?
I wholeheartedly understand! I’m in the midst of a ‘no-plan’ season…..! Let’s ride through this together!
Love this! I have posted something super similar on my blog – it’s so important!

Beautiful message, D! 🙂 Thank you, as always for shining so brightly!
Taking the high road, taking the bumpy road, aren’t always the easiest path, in fact, most often the hardest. But, when you cross the finish line, it’s so rewarding!! Great message, D!!
Thanks so much for your thoughts Dedra! I appreciate you! xo~D
This is a great line, “Rid the notion that assurance in having an exact plan equals your safety, success or even peace.” Physical safety and success are NEVER guaranteed, but we do try our best to make them that way with our choices.
Thanks for your comment Lauren! I agree! xo~D
