Run Time: 10:00 minutes

Summary of Podcast:

(00:29) This podcast is all about the practice of ‘Living as we Intend’ and so today I’m going to share something with you in regards to what’s going on in my life at the moment.

(1:21) Let me give you some back-story: Is there anyone that’s currently in your life, or that you’ve met along the way, who is has what I’ll define, as a ‘no fear mentality’?

(2:57) I personally will never forget that race because I realized the symbolic healing it also had on my life. The tears shed as I really allowed myself to feel the sorrow of what I imagined his struggle must have felt like, also allowed me to release some of my past struggles.

(4:42) So may I remind you that this girl speaking to you right now, grew up in a small town in Michigan.

(5:58) These difficulties that we endure are life-changing and are actually the seasons in life where we can grow the most as individuals.

(6:36) One thing in life that’s really important to me is that I continue to overcome my thoughts of doubt.

(8:00) I plan on laughing and I plan on smiling and probably shedding some tears with no one else but the girl who’s yapping away at you right now on a podcast she never in a million years thought she’d be sharing.

(9:45) Do me a favor and ask yourself this simple question..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! What a beautiful example you are living as it gives others freedom to do the same. This was incredibly inspiring. It has so much impact knowing some of the places you’ve been. If your hope was that it would ignite bravery- well, for me it did. Thank you!

Katie! Thank you for your heartfelt feedback! As I offer others ‘my insight’ it’s wholeheartedly from my experiences. I am a big believer that we each have much to offer one another. And imagine the power in a community that comes together to support one another in celebration and in struggle? Thanks for supporting me! I give you my support too! xoxoxo ~D

I love this challenge! I have spent of lot time reflecting on hard times in my life as opportunities for growth but have forgotten to reflect on the good things for growth as well. I do practice gratitude daily but your words resonated strongly with me to celebrate them in a more monumental way. To see all the positive experiences and situations that I have overcome sounds empowering and who knows maybe I will even be proud of who I AM. Sounds amazing. I am gonna do this. I am super excited.
Thank you so much for sharing and helping me change my perspective. This may be just the nudge I needed to find my strength to lean forward.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and tips D, this was insightful and encouraging to listen to. Also, I am amazed that you are traveling alone! My husband is gone a lot and I have always wanted to travel alone when he is out of town but have always felt afraid of it. You have inspired me to consider it again!

Hi Samantha! Thanks for your comment lady! I’m happy you feel encouraged. I hear ya about feeling some doubt. Honestly, I know this will bring some great things into my life. But, until that ‘lone trip’ remember you can still “go on that symbolic voyage”! Big love comin’ your way xo~D

What a great podcast! I enjoyed listening to it so much! It made me think about Big Magic (I just listened to it not too long ago), and about not letting fear drive anymore, but instead kicking him to the backseat. After listening to that I knew that was what I needed to focus on in 2017! Believing more, and letting fear drive way way way less. He can pipe up from the backseat, but I’m not letting him control where I go anymore.

Marquette! I love your words that you used about fear—kicking him to the backseat! I’m so happy you enjoyed the Podcast. Keep up the inspiring outlook!
