Hi!!! I’m Dannielle Alphonse, but also referred to as ‘D’. I absolutely love people and can sit and listen to someone’s unique story all day long—I am simply captivated by everyone’s intricacies and how their experiences have influenced their present life. I am head over heals in love with my husband and also a proud dog-mama to Miss Sofia.
I have a passion for laughing, learning, loving and leading. And I have a confession to make—I am an enthusiast for life.
My career began as a Creative Director (12+ years) in Ann Arbor, Michigan and then life shifted when I met the one that I was waiting for—who is now my husband. We moved to Chicago, and I began studying Viticulture (wine grape growing and winemaking). I became an entrepreneur and produced wine— which was quite a 180º from the corporate world to farming! Perhaps you can resonate to transition within your life? How about other difficult life experiences?
I am the first to raise my hand and authentically share that some of my experiences in life have been really difficult to overcome.
And I know that you and I will each go through, what we consider our most difficult versions of heartache or setback.
This creates our unique story.
During that season of transition in my life, my career changed, my residence changed, my relationships changed and these circumstances (along with many more!) became catalysts for a big intentional lifestyle change.
Although some experiences are hard to overcome, every experience (especially the most difficult ones) offer specific opportunities for growth.
They teach us, shape us and prepare us to be able to live as our unique selves—if we are aware and allow.
Living my life ‘with intention’ has been life changing, fulfilling and has offered me the freedom to live authentically as ‘I am’. And as I continue this lifetime practice, I am receiving the benefits of thriving in many areas of my life, that I know I wouldn’t have otherwise.
I believe there is a need for an authentic community of women who join together to encourage and empower one another, offer hope & ignite bravery.
I also believe there is a need to share our stories and support our unique passions, purpose and gifts. And a need for positive and intentional growth—even in the midst of our difficulty.
And this is why I developed Be You and Thrive: To offer you valuable educational resources to live an intentional lifestyle, as well as provide inspirational insights from women around the globe—who share their stories, knowledge and experiences.
Your ability to fully embrace all that you uniquely are, and thrive in life, matters to me!
I’m so grateful you are here,
