Introducing: Women who create

women who create photos

Women who create.

As I began sharing women’s powerful stories after launching Be You and Thrive in March of 2016 (via Insight from Thriving Women) and connecting in person, via email, phone, social media and various forums—I realize although we are each uniquely different—we all have an abundance of similar needs!

No doubt, first and foremost, the needs I see align with my passion for growing a loving community of women to join together and support, encourage, empower, offer hope and ignite bravery! But you know what else I see a need for?

Celebrating one another’s talents, passions and purpose!

We each need encouragement to continue to pursue our passions and purpose! I know that many of you practically shed blood, sweat and tears to accomplish every role that you hold. And your efforts are worth celebrating! So I am thrilled to add an ongoing opportunity for you to engage with each other—to do just that! Celebrate one another! Enter the first edition of:

joyful jewelry

Meet Lindsay Joy Taylor . The Joyful Jewelry Box
Owner, Designer, Maker

Lindsay is a self-taught jewelry designer and maker with a background in counseling and mental health. She encourages joy after loss with meaningful jewelry and keepsakes. Her mother died when she was only one year old—so she has experienced tragic loss firsthand. She believes that our grief always matters, that incredible beauty can result from choosing joy in spite of deep pain, and that meaningful jewelry provides comfort in memory of your loved ones in heaven.

Lindsay’s work touches my heart for many reasons. But what I love most, is her gift of hope that she gives to others through her passion and talents.

wool gloves

Meet Sara Orme . WormeWoole (pronounced: warm wool)
Accessories for adventurous souls

Sara makes upcycled accessories from reclaimed felted sweater wool and cashmere for friends, family, and home. She believes that taking care of our environment should be part of daily life through such things as recycling and composting. Sara is driven to create, which is a reflection of, “..My Creator in me, and who He made me to be. It is my favorite thing to do.”

I’ve always been fascinated by those gifted enough to create like Sara. And her authentic drive for creating inspires me.

hello day final use

Meet Kirsten Wilson . Hello Day Planner
Greeting your day with a fresh perspective

From school, to college, to running her Interior Design firm, Kirsten has known for years that writing down your tasks and goals is a powerful motivator and driving force to actually achieving them—not to mention the ever-satisfying feeling of crossing them off once completed! When she created the Hello Day planner, she took into account that your life was going to go into this planner, and its job is to help you to be who you want to be and achieve what you want to achieve; never losing track of your priorities, helping you to stay positive and appreciative about life, helping to keep you accountable to yourself, and those you love.

Kirsten’s product and passion caught my ‘organized’ eye right away! Her super efficient planner will be taking me into the New Year and includes cool and extremely thoughtful checklists for water, exercise, prayer/meditation and spaces for gratitude, top 3 to-dos, birthdays, and more!
